Privacy Policy

1. What we collect, and why we have it

We have organized this by purpose rather than by category, because the purpose is the part that should matter to you.

To price and design your court

Your name, email, phone number, and property or service address. Your project details: court size, existing slab condition, terrain, fencing and lighting selections, color choices from the 3D Designer, and anything you tell us in a message. Photos or documents you choose to send, such as a survey.

To run the site

Standard server request data logged by our host: IP address, browser and device type, the pages requested, and timestamps. We do not use this to build a profile of you.

If you become a customer

Contract documents, billing details, site notes and measurements, permit and HOA correspondence, and project photographs. Payment card details are handled by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers.

We ask for the minimum that lets us give you a real answer. If a field is optional, leaving it blank costs you nothing but precision.

2. Who else touches your information

We think you are entitled to the actual list rather than "trusted third parties." These are the providers that process data from this site today. Each may only use it to perform their service for us.

Beyond that list, we share information in only three circumstances: with subcontractors and suppliers who need it to do work on your project, such as a concrete or fencing crew that needs your address; where the law, a subpoena, or the safety of a person requires it; and if the business is ever sold or merged, in which case your information transfers with it and this policy travels with your data.

We do not sell personal information, we do not trade it, and we do not pass your details to other court builders or contractors as a lead.

3. Advanced Polymer Technology and other manufacturers

Where your project needs a manufacturer warranty registered, we pass the details required to register it — typically the property address, the system installed, and the installation date. Advanced Polymer Technology Corp. (Laykold) and net manufacturers process that under their own privacy terms, not ours. We do not send them your phone number or your enquiry history.

4. Cookies: what this site actually sets

Most privacy policies describe every tracker the business might ever use. Here is the current, accurate position instead.

This site sets no analytics cookies and no advertising cookies. There is no Google Analytics tag active, no Google Ads conversion tag, and no Meta or other social pixel. Nothing on these pages is building an advertising audience from your visit.

What does happen: our host sets the cookies necessary to serve the site, and your browser requests two typefaces from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address as part of that request. If you want to prevent even that, blocking third-party requests to fonts.googleapis.com in your browser will do it, at the cost of the site rendering in a fallback typeface.

We do expect to enable analytics and advertising measurement as the business grows. When we do, we will revise this section and change the effective date above before those tags go live, so this page stays something you can actually rely on. The Site does not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, because there is currently no tracking for it to turn off.

5. Florida privacy law, and what we do regardless

Florida's Digital Bill of Rights (sections 501.701–501.716, Florida Statutes, effective July 1, 2024) creates rights to access, correct, delete, and port personal data. Its obligations fall on "controllers," which section 501.702 defines narrowly: for-profit entities doing business in Florida with more than $1 billion in global gross annual revenue that also meet a further test, such as deriving half their revenue from online advertising or operating an app store with 250,000 or more applications.

FL Pickle Courts is a Sarasota court builder. We are nowhere near that threshold, so the statute's controller duties do not apply to us, and we would rather say so plainly than imply a compliance obligation we do not carry.

We honor those requests anyway. Ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, delete it, or send you a copy, and we will do it within 30 days at no charge, whether or not a statute compels us. If you are in a state with its own privacy law — California, Colorado, Virginia and others — the same process serves those rights, and we will not treat you differently for exercising one.

6. Calls, texts, and email

Submitting a form with your phone number is consent under section 501.059, Florida Statutes, for us to contact you about your request, including by text and by automated systems. That consent is not a condition of getting a price from us.

Reply STOP to any text and the texts end — the statute allows 15 days, we do it immediately. Marketing emails carry an unsubscribe link in every message. To stop phone calls, just tell us. Section 6 of our Terms & Conditions covers the same ground in contract language.

7. How long we keep it

Enquiries that never become projects: we clear these out after about two years, because a court quote goes stale long before then. Signed contracts, invoices, and project records: retained as long as tax and construction recordkeeping requires, and longer where a warranty is still running — we cannot honor a warranty on a court we have no record of. Server logs: weeks, not years.

8. Security, honestly stated

Data moves over encrypted connections, access to our CRM is limited to people who need it, and we do not keep spreadsheets of customer details on personal laptops. We are a small business, not a bank, and no one can promise perfect security. If we ever discover a breach affecting your information, we will tell you and comply with Florida's notification requirements.

9. Making a request

Email hello@flpicklecourts.com with what you want done. Say "delete my information" and that is a complete request; you do not owe us an explanation. We may need to confirm you are who you say you are before we act on a request about someone's data, which protects you rather than us. If we cannot fully comply — a signed contract we are legally required to retain, for instance — we will tell you exactly what we kept and why.

10. Children

This site is aimed at property owners. We do not direct it to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information. If a child has sent us something, tell us and it is gone.

11. Changes to this policy

Revisions get posted here with a new effective date. For a material change — particularly enabling analytics or advertising tracking, or adding a provider to the table in section 2 — we will update this page before the change takes effect rather than after.
